I’m Cold – And Rambly

March 5, 2009  |  The Daily Grind, WTF?

The worst part of having bad circulation, aside from, you know, the whole blood clot thing, is that I am ALWAYS cold!  It was bad before I got sick but even now that I’m recovering, my toes are like ice all of the time.  And it’s just my toes, so I could be sitting in shorts and a t-shirt but have two pairs of socks and my heavy, soft and fuzzy blanket piled over my feet.

Tonight though, I am just cold.  Chilly would be the word.  I worked from home today (love, love that my job affords me that luxury when I need it) because I just felt bad this morning.  It’s Spring and allergy time and the constant fluctuations between warm during the day and freezing at night are wreaking havoc on me.  Scratchy throat, congestion in the face, headache, achy, chilled and just overall tired.  Running the heat all the time doesn’t help either.

Drives me insane because I had a lot to do and just don’t feel motivated to do it because I’m dragging this week.

I want to take a nice hot bath though.  That has been solution the past few weeks to being cold – hot showers and baths.  I am probably the cleanest person I know these days.

But, as I said on Twitter a few weeks ago, the worst part about a hot shower is having to get out.  I would spend all day in hot water if I could.

For now, I’ll probably just watch a little bit of TV then head to bed and give myself the rest I know I need.  I can’t justify taking a bath when my hair is still wet from the shower I took earlier.

Or can I?
