It drives me crazy how over-protected kids are these days right down to their precious little egos. They are lathered in hand-sanitizer, covered from head to to with safety gear and strapped to leashes while playing on foam playgrounds that are lacking all the coolest toys because they've been deemed too dangerous. Classic fairy tales are being rewritten to be more fair and less scary, and all that does is water down the moral if not completely erase it. You failed your spelling test? Oh surely that's not your fault for not studying or even my fault for letting you play video games and watch TV all the time instead of making you study. That has to be the teacher's fault. We are all going to Hell in a hand basket.
